Graduate aid

Laura Roman Dodd Memorial Scholarship

Value

Scholarship amount varies depending on the availability of funding, but awards are usually over $1,000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a student majoring in Business Education with at least 15 hours complete in COB, an overall GPA of 2.5, and a departmental GPA of 3.0. Financial need is a preference.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Virgil D. Rich Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in the College of Business with an interest in Business Education that has completed at least 54 hours with an overall GPA of 3.0. Must demonstrate leadership and extracurricular involvement. Awards made with regard to financial need.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Computer Information Systems Outstanding Student Award

Value

A single $500 scholarship will be awarded.

Application

Students will not apply, but will be nominated by Computer Information Systems Department Faculty.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to the student selected by the Computer Information Systems Department Faculty as the Outstanding Student within the Department for the Academic Year.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Sandra M. Sullentrup Memorial Scholarship

Value

Number of awards dependent on the availability of funding, but awards are generally valued at $500 - $1,000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student that is an active member of Delta Sigma Pi that has demonstrated leadership in the organization and in the community. Preference for CIS majors that are juniors. Financial need is not required, but preferred.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Dr. Neil E. Swanson Memorial Scholarship

Value

Scholarship amount varies depending on the availability of funding, but awards are usually for $500 - $750.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time junior or senior majoring in Computer Information Systems that has completed at least 18 credit hours in CIS and has an overall GPA of 3.5. Must be involved on campus, community, or in professional activities.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Computer Information Systems Department Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student seeking a major in the CIS Department with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 demonstrating financial need.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Mary and Irene Francka Scholarship

Value

Scholarship amount varies depending on the availability of funding, but awards are usually for $350 - $500.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student seeking a BS in Business Education. Sophomores or greater must have an overall GPA of 3.0.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Woodfin C. Garrett Scholarship

Value

Scholarship amount varies depending on the availability of funding, but awards are usually for $350 - $600.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in Computer Information Systems. Sophomores or greater must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a departmental GPA of 3.2.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Dr. Orie A. Cheatham Scholarship

Value

Number and value of awards dependent on the availability of funding, but awards are generally $500 - $1,000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a junior or senior seeking a degree in Accounting or Business Education. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Norma Barker Lee Scholarship Award

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in Business Education who is preparing for a career in business office management or teaching. Must have over 24 hour and have an overall GPA of 3.2. Awards made with regard for financial need.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship is renewed automatically. Scholarship is renewed automatically as long as the student makes satisfactory academic progress.

Koch Discovery Scholarship Program

Value

The amount varies year to year based on availability of funds, with an amount of at least $1000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

The recipient of this award will be a full-time undergraduate student properly enrolled at the University majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain Management, or majoring/minoring in an Information Technology related degree.  Recipients must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.  Recipients must be a United States resident.  Recipients may not have prior acceptance of an employment offer from a Koch company.  Dependents of family members currently employed by Koch Industries, Inc. and/or affiliates are not eligible.  Past recipients of scholarships from Koch Industries, Inc. and/or affiliates are not eligible.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

John L. and Rita M. Bangs Scholarship

Value

Number and value of awards dependent on the availability of funding, but awards are generally $1,500 - $2,000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate or graduate students seeking degrees in the College of Business. Students must not be receiving the Presidential Scholarship at Missouri State University and preference should go to students seeking degrees in Computer Information Systems or Marketing.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal.
