Biography
Dr. Rick Brattin is an associate professor in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity department. He holds a PhD in information systems from the University of Arkansas and earned MS and BS degrees in information systems from Missouri State University. His expertise covers data analytics, data governance, digital transformation in business and strategic information technology planning.
Brattin spent 25 years working for Fortune 100 companies in information technology (IT) prior to entering academe full time in 2015. He has held many IT leadership roles focusing on the creation of business value through data analytics, business intelligence and information governance. During this time, Brattin participated in several large-scale digital transformation projects and was instrumental in the development of an enterprise-level data governance organization.
