Information Tech and Cybersecurity
Dr. Xiang Guo is assistant professor and department head of information technology and cybersecurity at Missouri State University. He received his PhD in Business Administration – Management Information Systems from the University of Mississippi.
Guo has published in European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Decision Science Journal of Innovative Education and others. He was the board member of Association of Information Technology Professionals of Ozarks and is currently serving as the board of regents of the Foundation for Information Technology Education. Guo also serves as a contest chair of the U.S. Information Technology Collegiate Conference (USITCC). He is the faculty advisor of Association for Business Information Technology Students (A-BITS) MSU. A-BITS has been highly successful in USITCC, National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and other student competitions.
Affiliations:
Dr. Guo's broad research interests are in mobile computing management, information systems security, information assurance, and privacy. Currently, Dr. Guo is working on research projects that brings further understanding about people’s mobile computing decisions, cybersecurity behavior, and financial impacts of cyber incidents of public companies. Dr. Guo is the faculty advisor for the student chapter of Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).
